Dating app Feeld reveals that Heteroflexible is the fastest-growing sexuality on their platform, with a 193% increase in the label’s use. While millennials were leading this growth, Gen Z also were identifying with the term.

Heteroflexible describes people who generally identify as heterosexual but have some queer attraction or desires. Speaking on this increase, Dr Luke Brunning, Lecturer in Applied Ethics at the University of Leeds, said: “These changes speak to the growing awareness that sexuality is complex. If anything, it would be surprising if people were never sexually curious about people of their own sex or gender, or if attraction worked in neat and predictable ways.”

Feeld’s report also noted that New York City saw the fastest-growing bisexual population on the app, with a 161% increase. Berlin was named as the most heteroflexible city, with the German capital also taking home the prize for citywith the highest percentage of open relationships.

Dina Mohammad-Laity, Feeld’s VP of Data, added: “This year, cultural moments — from Harry Styles’ entrance into the sex toy space to Lucy Bronze’s viral moment — have sparked visibility, curiosity, and experimentation among our Members. We’re seeing a surge in people exploring connection and playfulness in authentic, fluid ways, redefining what it means to be seen and to connect in 2025.”

Other notable trends included Gen Z’s rapid interest in sport, with a 300-600% increase in Feeld users, includingstructured physical activity like tennis in their daily lives.
