2025 was a year filled with musical moments. Chappell Roan consolidated her rise to the top with the release of The Subway and Brandi Carlile became a karaoke regular. Alongside major celesbians making waves, we also saw rising stars finally get the flowers they deserve.
As we approach 2026, here are five artists to keep an eye out for in the new year.
Gigi Perez
This singer-songwriter is already one of the biggest sapphic artists of 2025, with tracks like Sailor Song hitting the charts in top spots globally. In 2025, she toured with lesbian-favourite artist Hozier, and also performed at major festivals like BST Hyde Park. In 2026, we’re hoping to see this singer release more heart-wrenching music that we can cry, kiss and listen to whenever we need comfort.
Girli
For those who love pop punk, girli has probably been on your radar since 2019. She’s a firm DIVA-fave, and has already released two albums for you to stream. In 2026, we’re hoping to see her third studio album. Following the release of her track Better Undressed earlier this year, we can tell this new era will be one of introspection and raw human emotion.
Nxdia
No one’s had a year quite like TikTok sensation Nxdia. The star released their album I Promise No One Is Watching earlier this year which immediately became a hit with queer listeners. Tracks like Boy Clothes and Feel Anything became anthems for non-binary, neurodivergent and queer fans. As a special guest on Cat Burns’ latest tour, we can expect to see this singer continue to hit the charts.
Kwn
After the release of her track Worst Behaviour earlier this year – and that steamy make-out with Kehlani – there seems to be no stopping artist Kwn. She was nominated for the Best New International Act at the 2025 at the BET Awards and is one of R&B’s most prominent rising stars. Ready for her With All Due Respect Tour next year, we can’t wait to see this singer release more tracks.
KATSEYE
Following the release of their Netflix documentary, KATSEYE were catapulted into fame with banger after banger. The girl group are known for their incredible style and dance moves which have inspired countless trends online. This year, Lara and Megan both came out as queer, and the group has consistently spoken up for LGBTQIA+ rights. With a Grammy nomination pending, this is only the beginning for this group.
