Here are five sexy sapphic-friendly Halloween costume ideas and hot tips for incorporating them into the bedroom

Halloween is around the corner, and this is the year you should bring your costumes into the bedroom for some roleplaying!

I’m Sofie Roos, a licensed sexologist and relationship therapist, as well as author at the Swedish sex positive online magazine Passionerad. And if you’re feeling inspired to introduce some role play into your sex life, I am here to offer a sexy seasonal guide.

Dress as your favourite steamy fictional sapphic couple

There’s plenty of iconic and hot fictional sapphic couples out there, and we all have our favourites So, why not dress up as the pair we like the most for this Halloween? Big bonus if you also enter their roles and try to act with the character’s personality and have sex as they would have had.

Some favourites of mine to dress as are:

  • Corky and Violet from Bound (an erotic and badass criminal sapphic couple that oozes sex!)
  • Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy from Batman (one of the most iconic and cool super villain girlfriends)
  • Villanelle and Eve from Killing Eve (sapphic tension and attraction built up for a long time that ends in a tragedy just when your happy days are in front of you)
  • Catra and Adora from She-Ra And The Princesses of Power (in many ways each other’s opposite, but they are meant to be together)
  • Sara Lance and Ava Sharpe from Legends of Tomorrow (a very supportive, functional, and healthy marriage where it’s you against the world!)
  • Max and Anne from Black Sails (this is a fictional take on real-life badass pirates)

Angel and devil

If you’re looking for an outfit that will have huge success both at Halloween parties and in the bedroom, then this is a go-to. Dressing up as an angel and devil creates a timeless, steamy and forbidden dynamic. It’s a great way to explore something that can feel quite taboo.

For sapphics who’ve ever been made to feel that their sexuality is “wrong”, and who’ve had that little devil on one shoulder saying bad things, but also the angel on the other side encouraging you, this idea is extra meaningful!

Vampire and human

This supernatural being has always resonated with the queer community. Not just because there have been many female vampires that we’ve fancied on our screens, but also because they stand as a symbol for having needs they can’t show openly. So, what works better than dressing up as a vampire and a human having a love affair?

Embrace the forbidden. Meet up with each other when no one else is around and embrace that intense passion between you.

Nurse and doctor

Yes, it’s a cliché, but there’s a reason for it – because it’s hot!

The workplace romance scenario works well here, but you can add some nuance to it. For example, you’re going through a very hectic shift and need a reliever, or you come out from a tough surgery that was successful, which you need to celebrate together, so you sneak into the supply room.

Your favourite superhero and villain

One of you dresses as a superhero you really like, and the other one as a cool and hot villain, and then you meet up for a big duel. Just for it! It’ll end with you getting attracted to each other. And bonus points if the villain and superhero are from the same world.
