Mae Martin is undoubtedly a queer icon. The Canadian comedian, actor, screenwriter and recording artist has had the LGBTQIA+ community in fits of giggles (and sometimes floods of tears) across their career.

Released today (25 September), Mae’s latest venture is the new Netflix show Wayward. In this new thriller, Mae will star as police officer Alex, who moves to a small town only to find that there’s something slightly awry going on with the local “troubled teen” institution.

If you’re looking to get your Mae Martin fix, here are some of the best TV shows that feature the comedian.

Taskmaster

Where to watch: Channel 4

Taking part in season 15 of this hit show, Mae joined the comedy panel game show hosted by Greg James and Alex Horne. The concept of the show is fairly simple: a group of celebrities attempt to complete a strange series of challenges, which are then reviewed by Greg and Alex to determine who is the winner. On Mae’s season, the comedian was up against stars like Frankie Boyle and Ivo Graham.
