Harmony Rose Bremner and Fantastic Beasts’ Cara Mahoney lead alongside BAFTA-winning Bobby Lockwood as the headline cast of the upcoming queer short film Full Fat, from Sister Wives’ director Louisa Connolly-Burnham.

Full Fat explores the desire, curiosity and exploitation of the dynamic developed between straight girls and queer girls when they experiment sexually.

The film follows main characters Grace – who’s queer – and Bels – who’s not. They live together, do everything together and have slept together in the past too. When Bels gets a new boyfriend, Grace finds herself on the edge of losing control.

Cara Mahoney, star and writer of Full Fat, said: “I’m so excited to share this story and explore a dynamic not often depicted on screen, and I couldn’t be happier with the amazing team who have agreed to be part of its telling.”

Bobby Lockwood echoed this sentiment and said he believes that “the perspective and story being told here is both original and important.”

Harmony Rose Bremner added: “The ideas and feelings explored in Full Fat have been close to my heart since before I even knew Full Fat existed. And I’m so glad that now it does! To be a cog in the machine of telling this story, with these incredibly talented storytellers, has been a real joy. And something I feel is important for people, both inside and outside of the queer community, to see depicted on screen.”

The script has achieved significant acclaim on the international festival circuit and has been named winner of the Los Angeles Short Film Award – Screenplay Contest – Shorts (2024) and Santa Barbara International ShortFest (2025) – Best Unproduced Script.

Filming will begin in autumn 2025 with the film’s release planned for early 2026.
