Looking for a new sapphic show to binge? Netflix’s new murder-mystery The Hunting Wives might be a good addition to your watchlist.
Adapted from Mary Cobb’s book of the same name, this new show follows Sophie (Brittany Snow) as she moves from Boston to Texas with her family. In Texas, she becomes close to Margo (Malin Åkerman)… potentially too close.
Described by TIME magazine as including “ravenous bisexuals”, the show does feature a rather steamy sapphic storyline. In fact, contrary to what you may think about this seemingly conservative setting, there appears to be a lot of sexual liberation going on within these socialite circles. With horniness at the forefront of this mystery, it’s sure to be an addictive watch.
Combining culture wars with steamy sex scenes – and of course a murder at the heart of it – this new show is sure to get your blood pumping in more ways than one. As Variety puts it, “Not so many [shows] blend Trump supporters with lesbian trysts.”
The Hunting Wives is executive produced by the series’ writer and showrunner Rebecca Perry Cutter, Erwin Stoff and Cobb.
You can watch The Hunting Wives on Netflix US now. There currently hasn’t been a date set for Netflix UK.
