Happy Pride Month! To continue the celebrations all the way till the end of June, the annual Pride Power List is back, shining a spotlight on the individuals who are helping to make LGBTQIA+ life a little brighter. Launched in 2012, the list recognises those who have made a meaningful impact on the community over the past year – whether through activism, advocacy, or contributions to media and publications around the world.
The Pride Power List was published in The Guardian this morning (27 June). This year Heartstopper actor and activist Yasmin Finney took home the top spot, notably for her trans+ advocacy. This is the second year that a Doctor Who star has taken home the number one spot, with Ncuti Gatwa holding the same position last year. Lawyer Victoria McCloud, Bridgerton actor Jonathan Bailey and activist Lady Phyll all were named in the top 10 for their groundbreaking work.
Alongside the Pride Power List, a number of corporate and celebrity allies were honoured for their continued support to help improve the lives of the LGBTQIA+ community. You can read the full list here: pridepowerlist.com
DIVA magazine celebrates 31 years in print in 2025. If you like what we do, then get behind LGBTQIA+ media and keep us going for another generation. Your support is invaluable.
