Pride month is here, and actor and musician Aubrey Anderson–Emmons marked the occasion by publicly coming out as bisexual on social media.

The young star is best known for portraying the daughter of Jesse Tyler-Ferguson‘s Mitchell Pritchett and Eric Stonestreet’s Cam Tucker on the hugely popular and long-running sitcom Modern Family.

She actually used a sound from a hilarious scene from the show where a young Lily gets mixed up between nationality and sexuality.

In the scene, Gloria Delgado-Pritchett (Sofia Vergara) tells her that she is Vietnamese. To which Lily replies: “No, I’m not, I’m gay! I’m gay!” Mitchell then replies, “Honey, no, you’re not gay. You are just confused.”

Aubrey posted a video of her lip syncing to the sound on Instagram. She added the text: “People keep joking so much abt me being gay when I literally am (I’m bi).” She also captioned the post with: “happy pride month to all and to all a goodnight hehehe #modernfamily #lily #pridemonth #bi #pride”.

The comment section was full of celebration for this moment of bi pride and visibility.

Everyone here at DIVA would like to wish Aubrey a very happy Pride!
