We absolutely love a good reboot which is why we’ve been obsessed with the hit show And Just Like That… returning to our screens. LGBTQIA+ fans are obsessed with Miranda Hobbes’ queer awakening, and we’re hoping that this new series will see even more sapphic stories emerge.

If you’re looking for another heart-warming show all about friendship, love and queerness, we’ve got a few for you to pick from.

The L Word: Generation Q

This one feels pretty obvious. If you want a reworked version of a classic sapphic watch, The L Word: Generation Q is your best bet. Following a group of friends navigating love, work and identity, this sequel still features beloved characters like Bette Porter, Shane McCutcheon and Alice Pieszecki but adds in some new LGBTQIA+ characters for you to fall in love with too.

Work In Progress

If you’re looking for a new show all about self-discovery, why not check out Abby McEnany’s hilarious but heartwarming series Work In Progress? The show centres on Abby, a self-identified “fat, queer dyke” who lives with depression and OCD. This dark comedy follows Abby as she enters a new relationship at a moment of crisis in her life.

A League Of Their Own

Looking for a show all about female friendship that’s also super queer? You should definitely add A League Of Their Own to your watchlist. This remake of the classic 1992 film follows a women’s baseball league trying to get noticed during WW2. With characters like Carson and Max giving us all the sapphic representation we need, this show is perfect for binge-watching.

Feel Good

If you want something that dives into queer relationships more, why not try out Mae Martin’s semi-autobiographical series Feel Good? Following a Canadian comedian’s relationship with a woman named George, the show offers humour, heart and a complex yet compelling depiction of how addiction can show up in relationships.

Where to watch: Channel 4/Netflix

Sort Of

If you’re after a show all about chosen family, coming out in adulthood and urban life, why not try out the groundbreaking dramedy Sort Of? Following Sabi, a gender-fluid Pakistani Canadian, the show dives into conversations about family, personal growth and love.
