Happy Pansexual and Panromantic Awareness and Visibility Day! Celebrated on 24 May annually, this celebration offers a chance to amplify and listen to voices within the pansexual and panromantic communities.
What do pansexual and panromantic mean?
Pansexuality is often defined as being sexually or romantically attracted to people regardless of their sex or gender. Being panromantic, on the other hand, is usually defined as just having romantic attraction to people of all genders.
While the term pansexuality has been around since the late 19th century, it began to be used more widely in the 1990s. In 2010, a user on Tumblr called Jasper Varney created the pansexual flag we know today, used to represent attraction to all genders.
