The hugely popular period drama will return for a fifth and sixth season

Dearest Gentle Readers, last season, we were all left clutching our pearls. A love story bloomed after many highs and lows over the years. The previously anonymous gossip columnist Lady Whistledown’s identity was revealed. And we had not one but two Bridgerton wedding ceremonies!
Now that we’ve all had a moment to gather ourselves, it’s time to look ahead. There has long since been a lot of buzz and anticipation surrounding the upcoming fourth season of the period drama, focusing on fan-favourite Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). And now there’s even more excitement afloat with the recent news that the show has already been renewed for a fifth and sixth season before the release of season four.
There is, however, a catch. We’re a way off seeing Benedict’s hotly anticipated love story onscreen as the fourth season will not stream until 2026. That’s right. You read that correctly.
Thankfully, Netflix has provided us with a new sneak peek to tide us over for the long wait ahead.
At the end of season three, many a DIVA got excited over the hint that we have a sapphic love story coming in future instalments of the show. While the focus of the fourth chapter of the series will be on Benedict, we will hopefully get to see some WLW subplots continue to bloom.
