After a series of wins last year, Netflix drama, Baby Reindeer has swept the BAFTA TV nominations. With eight nods under its belt, including two for Best Supporting Actress, the limited series is the most nominated show this year.

Both Jessica Gunning, who played stalker Martha, and Nava Mau, who starred as Teri, have been nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Jessica has won several awards this season for her role as Martha, a fictionalised version of the woman who stalked the series’ star and creator Richard Gadd. The iconic lesbian actor is a frontrunner to win again. Meanwhile, Nava Mau’s role as Teri, the main character’s girlfriend, was an incredible moment of trans rep both on and off-screen.

The show has also been nominated for Best Actor for Richard Gadd, who plays Donny and wrote the show, based on his own life experiences. Baby Reindeer is also up for Best Limited Series, as well as more technical awards.

There are few other queer shows that have been nominated. The Traitors, which has consistently featured incredible queer contestants and is a favourite among the community, has been nominated for Best Reality Show, while True Detective: Night Country and Colin From Accounts have both been nominated for Best International Show.

The BAFTA Television Awards will happen on 11 May.
