DIVAs, are you ready to celebrate LVW with some of your favourite stars? Well, I Kissed A Girl’s Amy Spalding has you sorted. On 15 April, Amy’s company SLT Studios will be hosting a not-for-profit panel called Dykonic Times to fundraise for Queer Britain.

Taking place at the legendary Clapham Grand, the panel will see all our favourite queer icons reflecting on the lesbian renaissance. Alongside Amy, the panel includes multi-BRIT-nominated singer-songwriter Cat Burns, internet sensation Georgia Wood, broadcaster and activist Shiv Dave and Drag Race icon Victoria Scone. Oh, and of course the panel is hosted by none other than Charley Marlowe!

Sponsored by NYX Professional Makeup, Dykonic Times will allow audiences to listen to everything from light-hearted chat to meaningful stories of coming out. With all proceeds going to Queer Britain, the event aims to champion and amplify sapphic stories.

Amy’s SLT Studios has been dedicated to bringing sapphic visibility to everyone, and earlier this year launched a Valentine’s Day collection showcasing sapphic love through jewellery. Known for their “DYKE” ring, Amy’s brand is helping people everywhere share their identity with pride.

When speaking about this panel, Amy said: “From the public’s reaction to I Kissed a Girl alone, it is clear we as a community are thirsting for more representation, so putting this panel on felt like a way we could continue the conversation.”

She continued: “When I made my first DYKE ring, it was all about celebrating something I’d once been so ashamed of, and basically to tell people not to be afraid of this slur-turned-badge of pride. The point of this talk is to raise our voices even louder, and to raise money for such a worthy cause!”

Queer Britain Director Andrew Given added: “Queer Britain Museum’s mission is to preserve, reclaim LGBTQ+ history and inspire others for the future. As a charity that receives no government funding, we are entirely reliant on the generosity of our supporters to ensure that we keep telling the unheard stories from across the entire spectrum of the LGBTQIA+ community. Our thanks to the team at SLT for supporting Queer Britain.”

100% of ticket sale proceeds go towards Queer Britain to further their programme amplifying voices from communities across the LGBTQIA community, and to continue to educate people on queer stories.
