Dance Moms alum Jojo Siwa has released a dramatic new music video which is all about fighting with your exes. Following on from her viral hit Karma – which pretty much broke the internet – this new song continues on the themes of breakup and revenge.

Entitled Choose UR Fighter, Jojo’s new music video sees her fight six fictitious exes in a video-game-like fight. As she battles each one, the lyrics speak about choosing a partner carefully otherwise you might end up having to fight them. The video also paid homage to Jojo’s viral Karma dance which was recreated thousands of times on apps like TikTok.

In the YouTube caption for the video, Jojo wrote: “My life advice is typically Karma’s A B**** but now my best advice is when you choose your lover, make sure you do it wiser, because your lover and your fighter are one in the same!”

In November last year, Jojo announced her split from dancer Dakayla Wilson. However, since Jojo described their relationship as her “bestest” one, we can imagine that this song isn’t about their fallout. Since then Jojo has been pictured with a potential new love interest, Australian actor Kath Ebbs, but neither party has confirmed the relationship.

After receiving a torrent of hate online after she released her track Karma last year, this new project seems to have been met with more love from fans. “That’s my girl,” one commenter wrote under the video. Others praised her for the subtle nods to her other music videos, adopting a Taylor Swift style Easter Egg approach.

Taking to Instagram, Jojo revealed that the Choose UR Fighter music video was her favourite one to film. She thanked fans for their unwavering support over the last 12 months, and teased that there will be “more to come soon”.

Queer icons like Chrishell Stause also offered their congratulations for the new music video.
