The 2024 Fashion Awards kicked off at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday, blessing the streets of London with the biggest names in British fashion. The big guns were pulled out for this event with stars like Rihanna and A$AP Rocky gracing the red carpet. But queer fashion was front and centre this year with Alex Consani becoming the first trans woman to take home Model of The Year. Here is a look at the most glamorous and camp looks of the night.

Yasmin Finney, famous for her role as Elle Argent in the queer coming-of-age Netflix show, Heartstopper, was draped in a striking gold gown by Vivienne Westwood. The effortlessness with which she has brought countless glamorous looks to the red carpet this season sets the bar high for Gen Z fashion.

Munroe Bergdorf, trans activist and author, was the belle of the ball in a voluminous dramatic gown designed by Patrick McDowell. Although the gown was fabulously over the top, its environmental impact wasn’t, using sustainable materials to design the piece.

Bimini Bon Boulash served an angelic siren in an ethereal gown crafted by Greek designer Di Petsa. The British drag queen levelled up the look with glistening hair and makeup which they documented the steps of on Instagram.

Everyone’s favourite audio-book narrator and Uncut Gems star, Julia Fox, delivered Marie Antoinette meets lesbian fashion icon – the combination we never knew we needed. The striking Dilara Findikoglu Victorian-inspired corset moved like a work of art down the red carpet.
