American basketball player Courtney Williams has made sapphics everywhere go crazy by announcing her engagement. Posting to Instagram, the Minnesota Lynx star beamed at her partner N’Shya as she put on the beautiful ring.
Having blindfolded N’Shya, Courtney led her girlfriend towards a huge lit-up sign that read “Will you marry me?” It’s safe to say that the proposal went down well.
Sharing on social media, Courtney wrote: “Wowwwww 🥹 it’s a forever thing now 🔒🫶🏽 My fiancé yaaa hearrr meeee.”

The WNBA star has been with her fiancée N’Shya for two years now, and the pair have regularly posted #couplegoals content to their adoring followers. On Courtney’s 30th birthday earlier this year, N’Shya posted a loved up video compiling their favourite moments together. In the caption she called Courtney her “best friend, [her] lover, [her] protector and diary”.
Other WBNA stars congratulated the pair, with the Connecticut Sun player DiJonai Carrington commenting: “From day 1!!!!!! Ughhh my heart🥹! Congratsssss yall😍😍😍”
While the pair haven’t confirmed their wedding date yet, we are so excited to see what else is to come from this pair.
Courtney played a crucial role in the Minnesota Lynx’s 2024 WNBA championship run, notably making a game-saving four-point play with 5.5 seconds left in Game One. Drafted by the Phoenix Mercury in 2016, she’s since played for the Sun, Dream, and Sky before joining the Lynx as a point guard.
