The award-winning trans documentary, Changing The Game, is all set to be released on streaming platforms on 20 November, during Trans Awareness Week. The film sheds light on the realities of being a teenage trans athlete and won a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Documentary.

The film, which was also nominated for an Emmy, follows the lives of three high school athletes, who are also trans. At different stages of their athletic seasons, personal lives and journeys as trans teenagers, the documentary sees skier Sarah, track star Andraya and Mack, the Texas State Champion in wrestling, challenge boundaries.

Changing The Game was nominated for an Emmy and a Peabody Award. It went on to win a GLAAD Media Award and Best Documentary at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. It will be available to stream on AppleTV+, Amazon Prime Video and Google Play from Trans Day of Remembrance.

Director Michael Barnett said: “We are thrilled that the film will be released on streaming platforms in the UK and we hope the film opens up meaningful and important conversations around acceptance, not only on the field but across all areas of our daily lives.”
