It’s safe to say fans went wild after seeing this collaboration

Chappell Roan performed her song Hot To Go with one of her long-time heroes and influences, Sasha Colby on Friday (19 July).
The pop star, who considers Chappell Roan to be her drag persona, played to a huge crowd at the Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle. During her performance of Hot To Go, Sasha walked on stage to dance along. The Drag Race alum moved her arms to spell out the lyrics “H-O-T-T-O-G-O”, a routine that went viral on TikTok and is often danced by Chappell on stage.
The fan reaction to Sasha’s cameo was incredibly wild. The crowd screamed as she appeared and then energetically danced along. Chappell then shouted out: “Sasha Colby everyone!”
Sasha shared a video of her and Chappell on stage to TikTok with the caption: “Two mothers one stage Chappell Roan you’re a force of nature!! Love you daughter.”
Chappell’s on-stage persona is heavily influenced by drag, from her beautifully avant-garde make-up to her bold, brightly coloured costumes. Sasha has been a particularly key influence, directly referenced by Chappell on several occasions.
During her Coachella set, Chappell called herself “your favourite artist’s favourite artist”, a nod to Sasha’s catchphrase: “I’m your favourite drag queen’s favourite drag queen.” The singer explained both at the time and later on The Tonight Show that Sasha was a major influence on her.
She told Jimmy Fallon: “Me saying ‘I’m your favourite artists’ favourite artist’ was a nod to [Sasha], how much I admire her, and how much drag is intertwined with my project. She is everything to me.”
Sasha made history as the first transgender winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race when she won season 15 last year.
