The hit post-apocalyptic show is gearing up for even more thrilling action

First look images have been released of the second series of the hit HBO show The Last Of Us. Starring queer icon Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal, the post-apocalyptic drama will be returning to our screens once again in 2025.
In these first look images, fans could see Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie, holding a gun while Pedro Pascal (Joel) is looking into the distance.
Based on the popular video game franchise, The Last Of Us follows Joel’s attempt at escorting a teenager across a post-apocalyptic world. The original video game featured a groundbreaking sapphic kiss, providing much-needed LGBTQIA representation within the gaming world. Fans are hoping to see a continuation of Ellie’s queer storyline in season two of the show, especially after it was announced earlier this year that Isabela Merced would be taking on the role of Ellie’s love interest Dina.
The showrunners have confirmed that the second series will follow the storyline of the game, meaning that we get to see Ellie and Dina as love interests.
