From fire-breathing to lots of smooches, this new BBC Three show is already packed with queer excitement

DIVAs, the time has come. BBC Three’s I Kissed A Girl is finally here. Dannii Minogue is back as Cupid once again to pair up these new sapphic singles for a summer of love.
The concept of the show is fairly simple: before the girls can enter the Masseria, they must first snog a complete stranger. Will sparks fly or will it be an awkward smooch?
Joining sapphics everywhere across the country, we sat and watched the first episode to get all the juicy, queer gossip for episode one. Here are some of our highlights…
All the passionate smooches
When our first couple Priya and Naee walked around the corner, we weren’t sure what to expect from these first kisses. The steamy, saucy, passionate, sapphic smooches that followed were everything we had hoped for… and more! It also reminded us that we need more sapphic slo-mo kiss sequences.
Learning all the sapphic lingo
It wasn’t long before words like “golden retriever lesbian” and “black cat” were being thrown around. I guess if there’s one thing that sapphics can’t get enough of, it’s analogies. Fiorenza and Abbie were getting Cara up to speed on all of the LGBTQIA lingo in no time.
Priya’s hilarious engagement confession
Just when this show couldn’t get any queerer, Priya dropped the bombshell that she had actually been engaged…to someone in America… whom she’d met on a dating app…and had only been speaking to for a few months. U-hauling is a rite of passage.
Meg’s fire-breathing moment
Things started to heat up as the episode continued… no, literally. Fire-breather Meg gave the whole cast a performance to remember to kick off their Pride-themed party. And we learnt pretty quickly that it caught the eye of one Glaswegian drummer…
The Demi-Fiorenza-Meg love triangle
Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be any more sapphic excitement, the end of the episode revealed that Fiorenza (who was coupled with Demi) actually had her eyes on Meg. While Demi was worried that she had fluffed things up with Fiorenza after saying that their kiss was “mid”, Meg and Fiorenza were having their own very saucy smooch…
I Kissed A Girl will air every Sunday and Monday night at 9 pm.
