The Chief Executive of UK Black Pride – the trailblazing activist Lady Phyll – has brought Lesbian Visibility Week to New York this month as part of our #UnifiedNotUniform campaign. Working as an ambassador across the pond, Lady Phyll has been collaborating with our amazing partners to bring Lesbian Visibility Week to the States.

To kick off #LVW24, Lady Phyll took part in a fireside discussion at Allianz with Marie-Helene Tyack about exploring intersectionality during Lesbian Visibility Week. Up next was a panel discussion at the London Stock Exchange to a packed crowd.

Following these discussions, Lady Phyll also caught up with the CEO of Harlem Black Pride to have a beautiful conversation about Lesbian Visibility Week and the understanding of the chosen family.

Coming straight from NYC, Lady Phyll told us: “As an ambassador for Lesbian Visibility Week and a proud Black Lesbian woman leading UK Black Pride, I stand at the forefront of empowerment, representation, solidarity and unity. This week, my schedule has been packed with activities, speaking engagements, and collaborations with like-minded lesbians, especially Black lesbians. Together, we amplify our voices, connect our hearts, and organise for a future where every Black lesbian is seen, heard, and celebrated. Let’s shine brightly, stand boldly, and uplift each other in this powerful journey of visibility and solidarity. #LVW24 #BlackLesbians #Empowerment.”
