Keen viewers have spotted the star with a new mullet and what appears to be a chest binder

DIVAs, stay calm… Netflix has dropped a behind-the-scenes snippet of Heartstopper season three! The beloved LGBTQIA show based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novels will be coming back to our screens this October, and in preparation have shown us some new footage of the cast.
Fans of the show were quick to point out a slight change for one of the characters. Darcy, played by Kizzy Edgell who identifies as non-binary and trans masculine, was seen in the background of shots sporting a new mullet and what appeared to be a chest binder.
While Darcy was not canonically non-binary in the graphic novels, viewers quickly began speculating that these behind-the-scenes clips could point towards a new arc for the character. Some even noticed that the star was wearing a top with the colours black, purple and yellow on it – the colours of the non-binary flag.
While nothing has been confirmed by Netflix, fans on X (formerly Twitter) have quickly expressed their excitement about this potential new storyline.

So far fans have seen Darcy navigate a relationship with Tara, played by Corinna Brown, and season two proved to be the most emotional rollercoaster yet for the pair. We cannot wait to see where their journey goes in season three, which will be coming to Netflix in October.
