Queer football fans, we have been summoned. Sara Harrak’s new short film venture – Solers United – needs your vote in the M&M’s Short Film Festival to receive the funding to bring queer footie to the big screen. Vote here: mms.com/en-gb/shortfilmfestival

Starring BAFTA-nominee Leah Harvey, Solers United follows a grassroots football team who are thrown off kilter by the arrival of new girl Sals. This short film watches as the team is pushed to their limits as they try to raise funds for their pitch. Get ready for a winning play of misfit friendships, ambitious goals, and unexpected challenges on and off the field.

Sara Harrak’s short F***KED took home the Iris Prize Best British Short last year for its honest depiction of a lesbian couple discussing desire, relationships, and sexuality. With Solers United, Sara is hoping to bring more queer representation – especially queer footie representation – to our screens.

In order to receive funding to bring Solers United to life, Sara and the crew need your vote. Head over to the M&M Short Film Festival page to cast your vote now: mms.com/en-gb/shortfilmfestival
