The basketball legends announced that they are expecting baby number two

Congratulations are in order again for our favourite WNBA couple, who recently announced they’re expecting a baby, or rather, adding another member to their basketball team in May 2024.
In a quirky Instagram caption, WNBA Hall of Famer Candace Parker told fans that her wife Anna Petrakova-Parker is pregnant with the couple’s second child. The duo first broke the internet in 2021 upon announcing not only their first baby but their surprise marriage as well, which had taken place two years prior.
This second post again takes place on the couple’s anniversary, this time of four years, and jokingly added to her announcement #LetsMakeThisAThing.
Parker took to Instagram yesterday. “After four years in the game we are focused on building our roster,” she wrote. “The rookie will join our current roster consisting of a shooter, point forward, rebounder, and little Tikes rim attacker!”
The Parker family dynamic has been basketball-focused from the start. The couple met whilst both playing for UMMC Ekaterinburg in Russia, where Anna was born and continued their romance as Candace rose through the WNBA ranks to become a three-time champion. Before her current marriage, she had another child with NBA star Shelden Williams.
Candace Parker is the only player in history to have won three different WNBA championships whilst playing on three different teams.
