The highly anticipated Gaydio Pride Awards shortlist for 2024 is finally here! After much deliberation from a panel of judges, they finally came to a verdict about who might soon be entering the Gaydio hall of fame.
Our very own fabulous editor-in-chief Roxy Bourdillon and DIVA-fave Char Bailey were on the judging panel which took place yesterday (23 November) to determine the shortlist.
Among this highly coveted shortlist include Chippenham Pride for Grassroots Pride Of The Year, Eva Echo for the Boohoo’s LGBTQ+ Influencer Of The Year, and Just Like Us, Stonewall Housing, and Opening Doors are all up for Charity Of The Year.
Kriss Herbert, Network Content Director at Gaydio, said: “We are thrilled to unveil the official shortlist for the Gaydio Pride Awards 2024 with Hilton! Our 2024 shortlist spotlights outstanding individuals, charities, events and organisations that make a difference, inspire change, and continuously make a positive impact on the lives of the LGBTQIA community all year round, across the UK. We can’t wait to celebrate our shortlisters and reveal our winners at the 2024 ceremony – congratulations to our chosen shortlist!”
The 2024 Awards will be dedicated to celebrating those who have helped better LGBTQIA lives across the country, with a particular focus on regional and grassroots efforts.
Last year’s Gaydio Pride Awards were a complete success with performances from Escapism singer Raye, a set from DJ dance-legend Sigala, and a show-stopping performance from Drag Race royalty Danny Beard.
Some of the winners from the 2023 awards included Trans Pride Brighton for Grassroots Pride Of The Year, Cat Burns for Music Artist Of The Year, and a Lifetime Achievement award for human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell.
DIVA magazine will celebrate 30 years in print in 2024. If you like what we do, then get behind LGBTQIA media and keep us going for another generation. Your support is invaluable.
