Sydney will be hosting the first WorldPride in the southern hemisphere, and the event is not one you want to miss! They are projected to have half a million attendees and tens of thousands of international visitors.

German pop sensation Kim Petras will be a headliner at the seven hour closing concert hosted by G Flip and Keiynan Lonsdale at The Domain. Kim has been releasing music since 2016 at first as an independent artist, but in 2021 she signed with Republic Records/Amigo Records, and her music has gained even more recognition since then.

She is lauded as an incredible singer-songwriter in the music industry, and her number one single Unholy with Sam Smith earned her a Grammy nomination. The global hit made Kim Petras and Sam Smith the first openly trans and non-binary performers to reach number one on the Billboard 100. She is a trailblazer in the music industry, and has a huge following of LGBTQIA fans.

Kim will be joined on the stage by American band MUNA as well as Australia’s own Peach PRC, Alter Boy, BVT and Vetta Borne.

Here is a short message from Kim…

The Chief Executive for Sydney Worldpride Kate Wickett has said “With music ringing out in the Sydney summer, Rainbow Republic will be the perfect way to celebrate everything WorldPride has been, and we are excited to have Kim Petras return to Australia to be with us for this historic moment.”
