This weekend, SNP MP Mhairi Black married her partner, Katie, in a ceremony in Glasgow. The happy couple tied the knot in a ceremony at Pollokshields Burgh Hall.
First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, congratulated the couple in a Twitter post, writing “More lovely wedding news”.

And Mhairi Black shared this glorious picture from the big day on Twitter, her joy plastered all over her face. In the caption she wrote: “Turns out weddings *are* all they’re cracked up to be…” It certainly looked like a beautiful celebration of queer love.
