Make the yuletide and all your Christmas playlists a bit more gay this year
BY SOPHIE GRIFFITHS
Now that it’s December, there’s no holding us back. The Christmas tunes are playing all day long and it’s important to make the festive cheer a bit queer, too.
We promise Christmas music isn’t always that bad. Whether it’s a classic cover or a fresh tune, LGBTQI artists (and some amazing allies) have been serving up great Christmas songs more and more every year.
Below, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite queer festive tracks that are perfect accompaniments while you wrap your presents, decorate your tree stuff your stocking or while you’re cosied up on the sofa with a hot chocolate in your hand. Merry Queermas!
Tegan and Sara – Make You Mine This Season
Girl In Red – Two Queens In A King Sized Bed
Carly Rae Jepsen – It’s Not Christmas Till Somebody Cries
Taylor Swift – Christmas Tree Farm
Miley Cyrus – Santa Baby
Lady GaGa – Christmas Tree
Marika Hackman – Driving Under Stars
kd lang – You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch
Phoebe Bridgers – If We Make It Through December
Ariana Grande – Santa Tell Me
